Trustindex checks whether the original source of the rating is Google. I had a very positive experience with the Fide test at ILS Zürich. Everything was well organized, and the team was professional, friendly, and helpful. The entire process went smoothly, and I felt comfortable throughout the exam. I can definitely recommend ILS Zürich to anyone planning to take the Fide test.

Trustindex checks whether the original source of the rating is Google. I took a B1 exam. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The facilities are modern, new, and clean.
We had enough time to prepare between the written and oral exams.
Everything was very well organized.

Trustindex checks whether the original source of the rating is Google. I chose ILS Zürich for my German Telc B1 exam, and they didn't disappoint. Everything was explained clearly before the test, and everything went smoothly during the exam; the woman who proctored the written portion was very friendly and professional. The results were delivered 13 days after the test. I'll be back in a few months for the B2!
Thanks a lot

Trustindex checks whether the original source of the rating is Google. In my opinion, this is the most comprehensive and high-quality language school in Switzerland. Here, we’re not just learning a language—we’re also having a great time. The classrooms are air-conditioned and not crowded; in my previous language course, there were 12 students, but in the class I’m taking here, there are only three of us, and I find that to be a huge advantage. Our teacher, in particular, is very friendly and goes above and beyond to teach us—making the lessons more fun and helping us remember what we learn. If you want to learn a language, I think you should come and try out a trial day. Thank you (Ricardo) :)

Check out the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Can I take private lessons to learn French specifically for travel or everyday life?

Yes. In private French lessons, the instruction can be tailored precisely to the situations in which you actually want to use French. These might include travel, everyday conversations, dining out, phone calls, or interactions with French-speaking people. Instead of following a set group curriculum, you can work with your teacher to choose topics that are personally relevant to you.

Are private French lessons a good option if I want to make progress as quickly as possible?

Private lessons can be particularly effective because the entire lesson is tailored to your individual level, questions, and learning goals. You don’t have to wait for other students and can cover topics that come easily to you more quickly. Conversely, areas where you need more support can be covered in greater detail.

Can I prepare for the DELF or DALF in a private French class?

Yes. At ILS Zürich , you can prepare specifically for your exam. Lessons can be tailored to the requirements of your DELF or DALF exam, such as listening comprehension, reading comprehension, writing, or the oral portion of the exam. ILS Zürich is a licensed DELF/DALF course center.

Are there private French lessons for professional purposes?

Yes. Business French can be part of private lessons. Depending on your line of work, you can practice business conversations, emails, presentations, phone calls, technical vocabulary, or conversations with customers and business partners, for example. This makes the course ideal for people who need French specifically for their careers in Switzerland or in an international setting.

Can I also take private French lessons online?

Yes. At the Registration , you can choose between in-person and online classes. This allows you to take French classes even if you can’t come to Zurich regularly or if you’d like to attend your lessons flexibly from home or work.

Can my partner, friends, or coworkers learn French with me?

Yes. In addition to one-on-one lessons, ILS Zürich also offers semi-private, trio, and quartet private courses. This allows two, three, or four people to learn together. The private study group is formed by the participants themselves. This option is particularly appealing for couples, friends, or colleagues with similar language proficiency levels and shared learning goals.

How flexible are the schedule and course duration for private French lessons?

Class days, times, and duration are determined on an individual basis. Each lesson lasts 45 minutes. This allows you to arrange a schedule that fits around your work, studies, or other commitments. Private lessons are offered for levels A1 through C2.
