We had enough time to prepare between the written and oral exams.

Everything was explained clearly before the test, and everything went smoothly during the exam; the woman who proctored the written portion was very friendly and professional. The results were delivered 13 days after the test. I'll be back in a few months for the B2!

Here, we’re not just learning a language—we’re also having a great time. The classrooms are air-conditioned and not crowded; in my previous language course, there were 12 students, but in the class I’m taking here, there are only three of us, and I find that to be a huge advantage. Our teacher, in particular, is very friendly and goes above and beyond to teach us—making the lessons more fun and helping us remember what we learn. Yes. In addition to one-on-one lessons, ILS Zürich also offers semi-private and trio private lessons. This allows colleagues with similar levels of French proficiency and comparable professional goals to learn together. This can be particularly beneficial if both need French for similar tasks at work.

Content Business French private

As the official language in Switzerland, French is also an important part of the basic skills expected by an employer in the working world. Those who have not yet had sufficient opportunity to bring their French up to a fluent level in school have the opportunity to do so in a specially tailored French course.

Here you will learn subject-specific vocabulary, can refresh your grammatical knowledge and, above all, practice oral communication in order to appear competent in your work environment. To do this, we use textbooks, magazine articles and exposés structured according to specific topics that are relevant in everyday work. Everyday life in the office, small talk, job applications, resumes and job interviews, meetings, but also presentations and negotiations are addressed here.

All four language skills (reading comprehension, listening comprehension, written and oral expression) are practiced here, and you can choose your own focus.

The different levels of politeness, from "very respectful" and "formal to friendly" to "less formal" and "very private", are demonstrated using sample exercise texts. The grammar, some of which is already assumed, is also deepened and reinforced in these lessons. For example, when is it enough to write "Sincères salutations." as the closing phrase in a Email and when is it better to use the slightly longer formula: "Veuillez accepter, Madame, l'expression de mes respectueux hommages."? You will learn this and more in our course.
