I had a very positive experience with the Fide test at ILS Zürich. Everything was well organized, and the team was professional, friendly, and helpful. The entire process went smoothly, and I felt comfortable throughout the exam. I can definitely recommend ILS Zürich to anyone planning to take the Fide test.

I took a B1 exam. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The facilities are modern, new, and clean. We had enough time to prepare between the written and oral exams. Everything was very well organized.

I chose ILS Zürich for my German Telc B1 exam, and they didn't disappoint. Everything was explained clearly before the test, and everything went smoothly during the exam; the woman who proctored the written portion was very friendly and professional. The results were delivered 13 days after the test. I'll be back in a few months for the B2! Thanks a lot

In my opinion, this is the most comprehensive and high-quality language school in Switzerland. Here, we’re not just learning a language—we’re also having a great time. The classrooms are air-conditioned and not crowded; in my previous language course, there were 12 students, but in the class I’m taking here, there are only three of us, and I find that to be a huge advantage. Our teacher, in particular, is very friendly and goes above and beyond to teach us—making the lessons more fun and helping us remember what we learn. If you want to learn a language, I think you should come and try out a trial day. Thank you (Ricardo) :)

Yes. The once-a-week evening French course is designed specifically for people who want to incorporate a fixed but manageable commitment into their weekly schedule. You attend three consecutive lessons once a week and can review what you’ve learned on your own during the rest of the week.

Yes. Especially with a busy work schedule, it’s easier to stick to one fixed class time per week over the long term than to attend several evening classes. Levels A1 through B1 are held on Mondays, and B2 and C1 on Tuesdays. Classes run from 5:45 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

A sub-level such as A1.1, A2.2, or B1.1 lasts 12 weeks and consists of 36 lessons. A complete level—A1, A2, or B1—lasts 24 weeks and consists of a total of 72 lessons. The slower pace is particularly well-suited for people who want to learn French continuously without a very heavy weekly workload.

Yes. With only one class session per week, independent review is especially important. Short study sessions focusing on vocabulary, listening exercises, reading, or speaking help maintain contact with the language between class days. This way, the once-weekly course can be effectively supplemented with independent study.

Yes. You can start at Level A1 if you haven't studied French before. If you already have some prior knowledge, the free placement test will help you find the right level. Courses are offered from A1 to C1.

Yes. It's possible to join an ongoing group. In this case, you'll only be charged for the lessons you actually sign up for. This is helpful if you don't want to wait until the next regular course starts.

The once-a-week option is particularly well-suited if you have limited free time, want to build your French skills over the long term, or can't schedule a second fixed evening alongside your job and family commitments. If you'd like to make faster progress and are available two evenings a week, the twice-weekly evening course may better suit your learning pace.
